1930 marked the beginning of the Nobby Clothes Shop. This landmark business has been under the management and supervision of the Levine family for the last three generations.

The Nobby Clothes Shop is devoted to bringing the Nantucket Island community and visitors quality merchandise and brand name products at realistic prices. During the 1970s, the Nobby Clothes Shop began producing heavy weight, all cotton 8.5 oz twill sailing pants, shorts, long sleeve shirts and caps called "Breton Reds". This uniquely colored fabric is closely associated with the Island of Nantucket.
